Rapid 3-1 Fc Brasov Phew……
By: Vlad | April 18th, 2009
Boy did we need the 3 points on offer today, but first I want to apologize for the lack of posts. After we lost 2-0 at home agains Poli AEK Timisoara and then we tied 1-1 against Unirea Urziceni. We can know only hope for a 3rd place finish which would be good for an Uefa Europa League spot, and ultimetaly an apperance in Europe. We are in huge financial turmil, but the team is holding out strong, and we really have to praise them for that.
Match Report
Spadacio opened the scoring for us and took his taly to 11 goals this season (which is the league’s top), we doubled our lead on 53 minutes when Stefan Grigorie rifled in from 35 yards, Brasov pulled one back on 84 minutes and we finished the contest with Nicolae Grigorie scoring from close range.
I gotta tell you though we controlled the match from start to finish, even though Brasov has the lowest goals conceded in Liga 1, pretty good for a team who was in Liga 2 just last year.
These 3 points put us 5th in the table, 4 points away from 4th place CFR Cluj, and 3rd place POLI AEK Timisoara. Again I apologize for the lack of posts.
Forza Rapid!!!

Hello Vlad. My club, Olympiacos, recently signed Urko Pardo on loan from Rapid, and I was wondering if you could tell me how well he performed for your beloved club last season. Keep up the good work.
